Alegria Mexico!

**************

Today and yesterday have been quite depressing days. Since Saturday night I had a weekend with low dosage of endorphins (in the face of hours of workout I did) but with a high human phobia index. There wasn't even a good weather, and sunlight for me is as essential as air is to breathe.

But it is not about my psycho-physical situation I wanted to talk about.

Due to my general uneasiness, I forced myself out on Sunday afternoon to check out the Mexican festival at Yokohama bay. Just to see if I could eat a nice burrito for dinner.
Thank God I went out! Those 90min I spent there were enough for me to forget about everything, even about the burrito I was planning to eat but I didn't regret at all not eating.

Alegria de Mexico is the name of the festival that yesterday and today drove visitors crazy. It was, as usual, full of booths where one could buy typical South American food (Actually I didn't understand what was the Mexican trait in here), local beers and such. And I sort of expected that. I could also expect salsa music played at more than one booths, even though this was a sign that something good was about to happen….where there's salsa there's a party..there's even a song saying "que Dios bendiga la salsa porque sin salsa no hay paraiso"….so, I smile, lights turn green and I proceed.

What I didn't expect at all was that I could _dance_ outside, watched by the stars. Oh, tonight, remember, it is the night when the sky should give us a massive shower of falling stars…provided one finds enough dark a place. Back to my story, yes, there was a DJ playing a sequence of salsa songs very contagious to the public….the latinos, of course, and after a few beers also the less brave, took over the space to dance.
Yes, I danced outside, salsa, by chance. And I sooo loved it.

The second year in a row, they built an oasis in the space in front of Aka Renga. Last year it was wooden piling on water, this year is palm trees, sand beach and a small pool for kids!!! Once again, above expectation, Yokohama city! The oasis and the bar are best enjoyed at night time, and it should be up for the whole month, so go to Yokohama bay who of you can't have vacation this summer.

So glad I went out, so so glad. Uneasiness now showed up again, but thanks to tonight's mood topping up I should be able to fight the attacks for a few more days.
