I wish I was - Come mi vorrei

************

Often, we human beings, we at the top of the evolutionary pyramid, we who boast about having rationality, genius, expressivity, fall in the trap of dissatisfaction, by aiming higher, pointing the finger against who impersonates our so envied and wanted model, although who knows what's behind it, who knows what renounces and compromises one has to undergo. We often are not satisfied of what we have and what we are, we often daydream and we wonder how being who we want could be.

I, for instance, wish I had the physical conditions of an athlete, Gisele B's body, Jessica Alba's pretty and straight teeth, I am jealous of those friends who live in splendid apartments in the centre of Tokyo, I wish I had a job which allows me (but not force me) to dress up every day so that I could show off my personal clothing line, I wish I could work little, I dream of owning a bar or a restaurant, I wish I could play guitar and sax, and even piano, why not. It would be nice, so to speak, to be in a band and play concerts for friends and acquaintances. Well,I wish I had talent. If I think that in my family they are all musicians…..where did the heck I come from, then?
I wish I had a motorbike, riding around hidden in a black helmet and a black leather jacket, walking confidently on pinhole high heels, BEING confident.

I see myself eternally young, beside me I see a man confident as much, handsome and successful, with fine taste like the French, elegant like the Italians, passionate like the Southamericans.
I wish I had a smaller nose, curly hair, amber skin, I wish the wrinkles around the eyes disappear, I can't suffer that, after thousands of years of evolution from the monkey, Mother Nature hasn't yet understood that hairy legs in women are unwanted and we would gladly do without (hair, not legs)….only the Japanese people seem to have reached the top in the evolution, where women have smooth and soft skin and man have hairless faces. Might it be the 納豆 (nattou, fermented soybean) ?

Many of the items in the wish list, to better look at them, can be easily reached with a little bit of effort and willpower, but, my dear, I am so lazy that even just wishing all of this is tiring.
Fortunately I am lazy, I'd say, so that I live the life I have at its best, in the body I have, with the mental and material resources I have. For who's satisfied, enjoys. (So so)
