San Silvestro 2010

Oh yeah! Caffè dopo pranzo (peperoni ripieni, per la cronaca), musica di sottofondo coi Tribalistas, mi godo così le mie ferie di fine anno, ottimista e rinvigorita dal ritmo brasiliano di 'Ja sei namorar'.
Oggi è San Silvestro, l'ultimo giorno dell'anno. Casa è pulita, il tempo è bello, tutto è pronto per il conto alla rovescia. Ah,come è mio solito in quest'occasione,vi ricordo di indossare qualcosa di rosso, per scaramanzia. E che sia qualcosa di nuovo!!

Tra poco uscirò per incontrare un'amica, prendere qualcosa al bar, magari un fantastico Matcha tea latte, parlare del più e del meno, passeggiare per le strade che saranno o deserte o piene di gente che fa gli ultimi acquisti prima delle celebrazioni del nuovo anno, magari vedere qualcosa di nuovo assieme...tanto a Tokyo si trova sempre qualche posto nuovo da visitare!!!

Comunque, anche in Giappone si celebra il passaggio dal vecchio al nuovo anno: le donne cucinano riso e altre pietanze il giorno prima, così che non ci si debba preoccupare di cucinare il primo di gennaio. Si andrà al tempio, chi stanotte, chi domani, per pregare e chiedere fortuna, o salute, o quant'altro, si accenderanno incensi, si compreranno tantissimi conigli. No, non conigli veri, ma piccoli oggettini in ceramica, o legno o altro materiale a forma di coniglio, appunto, per ingraziarsi la sorte nell'anno del coniglio (presto, in corrispondenza del capodanno cinese, un post su quest'argomento...).

E poi....salsa.

Oh yeah!Coffee after lunch (just for the sake of information, I had stuffed capsicums), background music with Tribalistas, it is how I enjoy the year end holidays, optimistic and rejuvenated but the Brasilian rhythm of 'Ja sei namorar'.

Today is Sylvester's day, the last day of the year. Home is clean, the weather is nice, everything is ready for the countdown. Oh, as I usually remind in this occasion, wear something red, for good luck. Be it new!!!

Soon I will go out and meet a friend, have something at a bar, perhaps a fantastic Matcha tea latte, chat about random stuff, stroll along the streets that will either be deserted or packed with people rushing for the last minute shopping before new year's celebrations, and perhaps see something new together....in Tokyo, indeed, there's always a place to visit!!

Anyway, in Japan too, they celebrate the end of the year: women cook rice and other food one day ahead, so that they won't worry about cooking on Jan 1. they go to the temple, some of them tonight, some tomorrow, to pray and beg for good luck, or good health, or other things, they will burn incense, they will buy lots of rabbits. No, not real ones, but small things in ceramic or wood or other material , with a shape of a rabbit, like the Chinese calendar's animal sign for next year (soon, together with the Chinese new year, I'll post something related...).

And then....salsa.
