Impressionante davvero.

I was looking for a destination where to spend a weekend and by accident I discovered what the hell that artificial islet I photographed when I went to Ogasawara was....

I wanted to cross Tokyo bay by ferry to go to Chiba and discover new beaches, so I browse the net to find the shortest way. I find many references to a certain Tokyo Aqua Line, which I believed was a ferry company serving the two ends of the bay..then I see the photo: oh dear, that islet that really looked like a huge sail of a some extravagant hotel or department stores is in facts the opening for the ventilation of the SUBMARINE TUNNEL that is part of the amphibious expressway connecting Tokyo and Chiba in 30 minutes. The connection is 14Km long, 9,6Km of which are underwater (the longest submarine expressway in the world) and the remaining 4,4km are rode on a bridge, _literally_ rising from the waters. Really impressive.

the round stuff in the water is my mysterious islet, while the white stripe is the bridge....
