Right when I was looking for a way to express some thoughts, I receive one of those chain emails that saved me some efforts for once.......
We have higher and higher buildings, but lower and lower moralities, wider highways but narrower views.
We have bigger houses and smaller families, more comforts but less time.
We have a higher education but less savvy, more experts but even more problems, more medicines but less wellbeing.
We drink too much, smoke too much, we give away money, we don't laugh enough, we drive too fast, we get angry too often, we stay up till late, we wake up tired, we watch too much tv and we rarely pray.
We multiplied our properties, but diminished our valors.
We talk too much, we love less and we hate too often, too easily.
We learnt how to eke out a living but not how to live.
We added years to life, but not life to our years.
We went to the moon but we can't cross the street to meet a new neighbor.
We conquered the outer space but not the inner space.
We built bigger things, but not better ones.
We cleaned up the air but not our soul.
We have dominated the atom but not our prejudices.
We're all imaginary ill, but don't have imagination.
We write more and learn less.
We learnt to rush but not to wait.
We build more powerful computers to store more information but communicate less between us.
There are the days of fast foods and slow digestion, of great men and small personalities, of rich profits and poor relationships.
These are the days of two incomes and more divorces, of nicer houses but broken families.
These are the days of fast traveling, of disposable nappies and no deposit morality.
