Made in Italy

----------------------------------

the Italian presence is something that you can feel here, not just because there seem to be many italians in Tokyo area, not just because you can find the Little Italy in Shiodome-shimbashi, with its streets and buildings resembling our country, not just thanks to the many Italian restaurants.....but also and especially thanks to the efforts of the Italian Embassy in promoting events in order to let the people to know the made in Italy. in March the 3rd "Primavera Italiana" began, and many events are supposed to take place in various places around Japan trough the entire summer until September. One of these events is going on in Kawasaki, into the "La Cittadella" (the little town...roughly!) area, an open space dedicated to restaurants, shops and stuff, well organized and that reminds the town in Umbria, central Italy, with its stone fountains, stairs growing up between the houses, the little squares, the balconies full of plants and flowers......

this area is, though, pretty Japanese, as a concept, because of the high-tech side buried inside the idea of this space: I can quickly say that I'm into a quiet spot of Italy, but I can also see windowed towers, lights, super-well-handled space in order to contain as much as possible, areas well combining one to another, but in contrast at the same time..that is, the area is only one of the several consumistic spots, a city inside the city, where one can spend an entire day without suffering for some lackness of goods and facilities.

But I have to highlight this: I could watch a movie, famous in Italy, that is NUOVO CINEMA PARADISO, in Italian language!!!!with Japanese subtitles!Amazing!
